Richmond, VA

We are in a “campground” in Richmond VA. Well, it’s really the parking lot of a flea market but it’s close to the racetrack. All dry camping so very shortly the “song of the generators” will start.

We are close to a wireless “hotspot” so after breakfast we will journey there and I can post. This “campground” will hold about 1500 units so I thought I would get on the roof of our motor home and take some pictures. Might post one on the site. It is always fun to see all the flags flying over the area. Of course mine are up also. I always have the American flag on top and this time I have my “Forever a Fan” flag for Dale Sr. under the American flag. He was my favorite driver from the time he was a rookie. Still miss seeing him drive and listening in on the scanner to hear him talk to his pit crew. Never a dull moment when he was on the track.

Enough of racing and camping as I know it’s not everyone cup of tea. I have tried to lay off of politics and TV news while on the trip but since the paper delivery started here this morning I am sure something will get me fired up.
