Talk Radio

Well, while heading out this morning for breakfast and running errands it was quickly obvious that the talk radio dudes were all of the illegal immigration issue. Was interesting to hear some of the same things I have been talking about being said on the radio by the host as well as people that are calling in. It seems to me that nothing I heard was really said in a mean or thoughtless way but in a way that makes it clear that we are indeed a country of laws and those laws need to be followed. Everyone seems to realize that throwing 11/12 million people over whatever border they came from, yes this includes Canada, is not really a practical idea. While all of this was going on the gutless senators, both parties were voting on giving some type of amnesty in lieu of protection of the borders. Worthless bastards. This is all about power and getting elected. They do not care about the states they represent or the rest of the country. I would suggest that Thomas Jefferson is right when he said the Tree of Liberty needs to be watered with the blood of patriots from time to time if the country strays off the path but since most of the voters in this country, both parties, care less about what direction we are headed because they are to wrapped up in themselves. As long as it appears not to affect them, then to hell with it. Let the other poor bastard take the heat and grief.
