“Cheap Labor”

Reading the morning fish wrapper there is a story by an illegal “invader” that says Florida agriculture business cannot exist without them. Is that really correct? No, it’s not. If the cost of labor to tend the crops gets out of hand then I will assure you someone will invent/contrive a machine to take up the slack.

Tobacco at one time was the most labor intensive crop your can imagine. My uncle along with the NC State University invented a tobacco harvester. This machine removed most of the need for field labor. This will be the linchpin that will break the need for cheap labor, which illegal immigrants/invaders bring to the table.

I know, I know there is still a demand for cheap labor in fields like house building, cleaning homes, restaurants and so forth but once a need is established then I can assure you inventors will get off their butts and go to work. That will kill the migration for work.

Now, if you believe that this is really about taking back the southwest to be under the Mexican government then that is another subject.
