Clichés
There are many but what comes to mind is “damn if you do and damn if you don’t”. President Bush’s recent trip to Iraq is the subject of my thoughts. It is being written off by the left wing media as a “stunt” or for political gains. No, I understand exactly what was going on. Having lived in Texas and having dealt with them in business they set great score of having an “eye to eye” with you. Is it left over from the old days when the Texas Republic was formed or just good sense? Who knows but I can assure you it’s the way business is done there and everything is business there. Please understand while I voted for Bush twice, not in the same election of course, I do not agree with all of his policies. I do not agree with him on spending, illegal migration/invasion from the south and going to war with Iraq. It really should have been Iran as they are the real threat and have been since the overthrow of the Shaw. Iraq was a paper tiger and posed no real threat except to their own people, however bad that was, but could have been handled without war I believe.
So in closing maybe we should “give him a chance and let history judge his actions”.
Maybe that cliché would be more deserving.
