Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday to our country. We started out life as a robust infant with a feeling that there was nothing we could not do. We hit our stride at middle age with some problems, some were very serious, but we got over the hurdle, as our certainty of right and wrong was still strong within us. We are now old and are in a state of confusion. We have not completely lost our way but stray off from the path from time to time. The problem is the interval is becoming much closer together. I predict that we will not see many more birthdays in the form we are now use to. With our old age we make decisions that will certainly bring down the very foundations that held us so strong as an infant and through middle age. So enjoy this Republic as best you can and hope you are not living in the time you will see it completely destroyed by those who have tried for the last 100 years, more or less, to make this country into a democracy. When that truly occurs then it's over.
