The New Tet Offensive
The current "fight" for Baghdad where terrorist are trying to kill each other and anyone else that gets in the way can be compared to the Tet Offensive that occurred during the Vietnam war. The last great hope for North Vietnam was the Tet Offensive as it got all of the left wing American media on the side of the then "cut and run" crowd. Now, I am the first to admit that South Vietnam did little or nothing to help their cause but the truth is our forces whipped the North in no uncertain terms. The media caused it to be viewed as a defeat. The same thing is happening to Iraq. The "drive by" media that seldom gets out of the hotel bars in the Green Zone only report what they can see in Baghdad. It is seldom you see stories reported in other parts of Iraq.Just as it was in Vietnam it will be in Iraq. We will win the war but lose the final fight to left wing liberal media who hates this country and is always trying to apologize for our success.
