TERRORISTS
After many years of radical muslims terrorist tactics, the citizens of the United States had enough. With popular opinion firmly on his side, the president finally took decisive action to put an end to a jihadist movement that had been developing since the 7th century. The president decided we could no longer go along with the European model of appeasement; expecting to somehow buy peace, but in fact assuring more terror. The president came to conclude that every time appeasement is tried and demands are met, more demands are made. He realized that submission to the radical muslims’ demands only projected weakness and, in the eyes of the jihadists, opportunity.
The president was Thomas Jefferson, the year was 1801. The radical muslims were the Barbary pirates of the North African coast.
