Drilling for Oil?

In a nut shell, the dems say drill where you are allowed now, the rep say open up drilling everywhere there is oil. Plus the dems are sticking to the "alternative" solution. I agree that needs to be done but it may be 50 years down the line so for now it's carbon based fuel.

Now to my point. If the oil companies drill where there is not a lot of oil the cost of recovering the oil is high which means the price of a barrel of oil remains where it is or higher. If they can drill where they can recover oil cheaper then the price can go down. Since the middle east recovers their oil much, much cheaper than we do right now they will be forced to lower their price.

Now the money that has flowed into the commodity markets will leave as the supply is now stable so they cannot make a lot of money and it will leave putting more money into the market helping our economy.

Now, if someone as dumb as me can see this, why cannot our dumbass senators and congressmen/women see this? Face it people, they do not care about you. They only care about special interest and getting re-elected.
