Back from the last NASCAR races that were held in Homestead, Florida. We took our motorhome and camped at the RV lot at the track. Nice and had fun. Good racing. Did not look at the news or read the paper at all while we were gone. Now that I am back I see there is a lot to comment on but I thought I would start with the status of my favorite sport, automobile racing.It's pretty bad right now. Teams laying off people and in some cases closing the doors as they cannot secure sponsorship for the 09 season. It looks like the big teams will make it as they seem to be able to attract sponsors but the small teams are in real trouble. I certainly understand that businesses need to spend their money carefully but when you get something like a 10 to 1 return of your money for exposure of your product putting your company name on a race car still seems like a good idea. Time will tell.
So, since more than likely no one but me cares about this I will move on to more current items to write about. Just had to say this.

Yeah, you are right. We had real good seats high in turn one and there was two empty seats next to us so we could spread out.
Going to be easy to get tickets next year to just about any of the races. Of course Bristol will always be hard to get.
