How to fix the auto industry.

Having solved the rest of the problems in the world I thought I would address the Big Three auto makers. So just follow my solution below.

  1. The congress must remove restrictive policies for the manufacture of cars. At the same time the Big Three must declare bankruptcy, Chapter 11.
  2. The EPA must lower standards to match the average CAFE standards of the world. This will allow the use of low horsepower diesel engines that get good mileage.
  3. The safety standards must be reduced to a more practical ability to manufacture. Now the standards are being raised every year and when it happens it reduces the responsibility of the user. What does this mean? Lighter sheet metal, redesign of front and rear bumper standards to what was used 20 years ago.
  4. The UAW must lower their wages and benefits to the average of the foreign car manufacturers in the US.
  5. The Big Three must move ALL MANUFACTURING of their cars and trucks back to plants into the US. NO MORE BUILDING CARS AND TRUCKS IN CANADA AND MEXICO.
The above is just a few thoughts about what needs to be done. I could have gone into more detail but that would just muddy the water. Only when the above is agreed upon NO TAXPAYER MONEY should be given to the Big Three.
