Made in America?

Just for the hell of it thought I would post the following that occurred at the Michigan race on Sunday. Italic's are mine and not part of the original document.

BOO BIRDS: It's traditional for the public address announcer at racetracks to ask the crowd which brand of car they support, usually eliciting a loud cheer for each.

Because Michigan International Speedway is close to the heart of America's car industry, it was no surprise when boos echoed around the track Saturday after the PA announcer asked who in the crowd thought a Toyota would win the upcoming Craftsman truck race.

But, according to Toyota Racing Development senior vice president Lee White, the Toyota Camrys that will run in the Cup and Busch series' for the first time next season will be more American than the Ford Fusions, Chevrolet Monte Carlos and Dodge Chargers they will compete against.

White pointed out that all of the Camrys sold in America next year will be built in this country, while the Monte Carlos and Chargers are built in Canada and the Fusions in Mexico.
